Got my phone from BestBuy for $79 after rebates. Wow what a phone. Great voice quality, fantastic inner and outer screens and it's easy to use. I love alot of the features and the learning curve is not hard. It is extremely light and small, so you will want a holder. There are no drawbacks to this phone except that the screen is hard to see in bright sunlight, but that is probably normal for these color screens. I have had Nokias in the past and this blows them and the new models away. Reception seems to be better than the nokia 6340Ii I had.

I've been using the S307 for about 6 months and it is great. This phone has one of the best speakers built into it I have ever seen. Sound and call quality are by far better than any phone I have ever used. Navigation took a little getting use to but after a few days of normal use I was an old pro. If you want the smallest phone possible this is the phone to get!!! You can load Gifs directly on your phone to have animated background images. The only drawback to the phone is that the external color display is impossible to see in daylight.

A good phone, mostly because it's so small.
PROs: Looks great, & it's really small. Reception, battery life (about 3 days), & sound clarity are fine. Ring tones & color backgrounds can be created with freeware apps easily.
CONs: When on its holster you can't feel it vibrate. Also the leather in the holster muffles the speaker so very often you can't hear it even on loudest volume setting, so I found this phone best suited to being in your pocket at all times, it got frustrating otherwise as I was missing calls. The UI is not good but you get used to it - the WAP button is far too prominent for most users I'd think and the arrow keys need you to look at them while using them which stops Pac Man being fun. The internal phone book is basic and does not have a slot for street addresses.

Just wanted to say something after seeing the last post.

1. You can set different ring tones for different people. It is part of the "Group" feature. You can have up to 10 groups and in each group can have a different ring and icon that will show up on the outside display. You can assign multiple people to a group.
2. I agree, most of the ring tones blow, but I have not noticed a problem in ring volume. I do not have mine set to the highest setting because it hurts my ears. I have noticed that it does depend on what ring tone you choose. Some tones are quieter than others.

Just my 2 cents.

OK- so u r considering on buying the S307?! Well...my friend, here is the deal! The phone is just ok. Let me tell you why. I use my phone a lot! A lot! Features are good. I used to have a Nokia. My nokia was no big deal. When I got The S307, it had less features than my Nokia!!! Here's what I mean... While on a call, you cannot access the main menu at all. That means that you cannot browse your call history, games or anything else. You can only browse your phone book and your text messages. In addition, under messages, it does not give you the total number of voice mails that you have in youe mail box as does the Samsung sch-530 (Verizon). Being that my boyfriend has the Sch-530, I was able to compare these two phones with a very close eye. That phone rings louder, vibrates harder and you have options like attaching pictures of people that call you to their profile. That means, everytime somebody calls you, their pic will come up. You can even put a different ring tome for different callers on the Sch-530. You can't with the S307! Weak!!!! Like I said before and as I am sure you have read in other reviews, this phone just isn't loud enough. Yeah, sure they give you a ton of ring tones to choose from. Too bad only 5 of them are good enough to not annoy you for more than a week. I have had this phone for about a month. It has never been dropped...ever! The front screen is already having issues....like it doesn't light up anymore. The front screen doesn't even tell you the time lapse of the call. You have to open the lid to check it out. Options? You want options? Don't get this phone if you want all of the gadgets. Yes, it is small. But they cheated and cut corners in every possible way. If you want a basic phone- no big deal, no frills....this is your phone. Otherwise- look elsewhere! Trust me...

I have had this phone for almost 2 years now and I would like to tell you something. This phone is the worst phone I have ever had. The original one I had turned off and on when it wanted to, sent some of my calls to voicemail because it felt like it. Then when I would go to clean my Push Message box it would freeze my phone and make me wait, to do anything else because it would then act like I just turned the phone on. After all this I contacted my phone company and told them the problem they sent me a new one. Now with the new one I haven't had that much of a problem. It does however still hang up whenever it wants it's very random. As for the ringing volume, it is horrible! I have it on the highest volume and it is in my pocket and I can't hear it at all. I can't tell you how many calls I missed because of this. Also the vibrate ring feature doesn't work at all. It doesn't vibrate or ring on that setting. The vibrate feature alone sucks. I got this as a gift and it makes me feel bad that I say it sucks. I am however stuck with this phone until September when my contract is up. My phone company despite all the problems won't let me out of the contract to get a new phone. So, in conclusion do not get this phone!
