I haven't had this phone very long, so here are some 1st impressions:

I wanted to find a cell phone that would be a cell phone and no more. So far, this phone does its job well.

The only thing somewhat "extra" that I wanted from this phone was a simple ringtone format, which the midi format this phone uses is. It's so nice to be able to send an email to <my_phone_#>@tmomail.com with some ringtones (and/or pictures) attached - it's not complicated to get free ringtones at all.

The design of this phone is top-notch. The menus could be a little more intuitive and less flashy, but I can deal with that. I like the outer and inner screens, the keypad, and especially the internal antenna.

I haven't tested the battery much, but the battery indicator didn't drop after almost two days of use, so I'm not complaining. Neither have I tested the reception extensively, though where my Sprint phone gets 2 or less bars, this phone has full (6) bars. But, again, I haven't stress-tested these areas.

I didn't buy this phone to browse the internet, so it may be kinda slow in the t-zones and downloading MMS messages, but this is not much of a drawback for me. I also commit phone numbers to memory, so not having voice dial doesn't bother me at all.

And in lieu of speakerphone, I'd always rather use the earpiece. I can't think of any use for speakerphone unless you want to annoy people around you. So, this phone having speakerphone wasn't a big selling point for me.

So, if you want a Spartan, no-frills phone, this phone is pretty much perfect. Sure, it has a few quirks, but if you're not anal, they won't bother you.

If I discover anything significant, I will re-post (and maybe even recant), but for now, this phone looks like a keeper.

I've read some of the other reviews about this phone and how they complain about the fact that it doesn't have voice dialing, the speaker phone is useless due to the fact that you have to leave the flip phone open in order to use it. No camera etc... You know what? It's a phone! With the provider that I have, I get great reception that comes in as clear as I've had from any cell phone. Dropped calls are a rareity. I could care less about a lot of the other bells and whistles. Just give me a good quality phone that I can make use of to do what it was intended to.. make and recieve calls. No camera.. Big deal! I've got an 8 megapixel digital camera that takes pictures as crystal clear as National Geographic. Ever see the quality of pictures that you get from a cell phone? Garbage to say the least! I've got an Ipod for music and a great digital cam. If I need video I've got a great mini dv for that. If you expect one entity to do all of these things exceptionally you'll be sorely dissappointed.
This phone is light, small, and delivers great performance.

Pros:

Nice looking: I love the gray and white, it makes the phone look very professional and neat looking.

TFT Screen: Although it uses a bit more power, the TFT screen is a pleaseure to look at in sunlight conditions.

Outer Screen: Very nice touch adding a OLED outer screen, it saves battery power, and you can also see it in almost any condition.

Keypad: The keypad is lit up very well, you can see every key, and the blue looks pretty cool.

Battery: I get 4 days on standby, I'm on a prepaid T-Mobile account so I'm not yaping on the phone all the time.

Speaker Phone: Nice touch, you can not record music and play them as ringtones though, the speakerphone is good though, people could hear me very well, but it was not as loud as others.

Durable: I droped it a few times already, and a few nicks are already on the beauitfuly shinny finish.

Cons:

Reception: This phone does not have good service performance, It cant even compare to me Sony Ericsson T610, the sony would get two to three bars in my basement, thins one gets 0 to 1. Most times it cuts out in the basement too. I hate it! icon_mad.gif

No Voice Dial: Yes that is right, no voice dial, a great speakerphone and no independent or pre-recorded voice dial can be found on this phone, its a let down icon_frown.gif

Menu: Its to confusing, I mean there is a settings area, but they put "Sound Settings" in a totally different menu area. icon_twisted.gif

Side Button: There are worthless. All they do is turn down the ringtone that you are listening to, and at stand by they turn down the key sounds. icon_ermm.gif

Internet SLOW: Even when in perfect 6 bar service area, the internet is SOOOO Slow. icon_squint.gif

Calender: Very hard to use compare to Sony and Nokia. icon_razz.gif

Speakerphone: Cant use while flip is closed!! icon_cry.gif

Charging: Does not ever say something like "Charge Complete" its annoying icon_mad.gif

I dont know what else, I'm going to take it back and get something else.
