Samsung M610 User Reviews

Just bought this phone. I have to say it is a real slick peace of equipment. Feels nice, looks great. I had an m500 and this is a real nice upgrade from that phone in many ways. Certain things on the menu are a little redundant. Like there are at least 2 or more ways to access any item on the menu you need. It can get a little confusing but the longer you play with it the easier it will seem.

The first thing I noticed was the amazing screen inside. Crystal clear and bright. As mentioned by the other reviewer, alot of multimedia content is offered by Sprint as a Sprint Power Vision service, and just when you thought you were done paying, practically all the content offered is at an additional cost, so as you can imagine it can add up! Fortunatly you can add you own content via way of the SD Mirco card. As expected Sprint offeres no help assisting you in taking this route but a little searching online will tell you what you need to know.

Samsung provides you with a nice set of earbuds. My only complaint here is that the connection is specially made for the m610 so if you want to use another headphone your out of luck. Again the other way around this is to use a blutooth headset. SD card is unconviently located in the battery compartment but its not such a big issue since you would rarely need to acess it if you buy at least a 1gig card.

All in alll a great phone, and if you can get it at the new service agreement price of $150, even better.

Hi,
I recently aquired this phone, it does turn heads. I like the way it feels in my pocket. Especially after my last candy bar phone got in the way on my belt. This one is not even noticable in well fitting jeans. The menu button is a little hard to use in the dark and while distracted. The blue tooth seems to work ok. I am not into all the vision features, but i was able to email a few nice (2 megapixle) pics to some friends. One thing I do not like about the phone is that there are no addresses in the contacts list. Also I was told I could synch contacts, and calander info. The only place I could find a data cable was on EBAY and the data cable will only function as a way to access the internet on your computer from your phone. You cannot use it for synching contacts (at least I havent found one yet) nor is there one for task lists and calandars. I have been able to use the blue tooth to get pics off and on the phone. Also, there seems to be no way to get ringers on the phone with out purchasing them from sprint. These ringers also expire, so you have to keep on paying. My last phone, I made my own ringers. It seems like we are paying more and more for decreased function. Its a little dispicable when they force you to buy thier stuff after they block all access. I will add more later, but also know that if you are out of range from a tower, the battery will last less than 3 hours.
