Released for Sprint, the Samsung Z400 offers push-to-talk performance and military-grade durability. Housed in a rubberized coating to reduce scratching and improve grip, the Z400 passed rigorous tests to meet military standards specs for resistance to dust, shock and vibration. The Z400 is Samsung's first Nextel Direct Connect handset to deliver fast data speeds on Sprint's broadband network. Nextel Direct Connect provides quick and reliable alternatives for communication with individuals or groups. It has a 1.3-megapixel camera with 2x digital zoom and stereo Bluetooth Wireless technology with call announce.

- PTT Missed Call Notification so when on a Nextel Direct Connect call, users can receive a notification that they missed a PTT call, Call Alert or Group call
- DC Permissions block/allow incoming one-to-one PTT calls and Call Alerts
- Call Alert/Call Alert with Text to send a repeating alert to let other Nextel Direct Connect user know they are trying to be reached
- Group Connect to communicate or coordinate activities with up to 20 other Nextel Direct Connect subscribers all at once, creating and managing groups dynamically on the phone or online
- Bluetooth wireless technology for short-range wireless communication
- Integrated 1.3-megapixel camera and camcorder to capture high-resolution images and create video clips to share with friends and family
- Sprint Navigation for visual and audible turn-by-turn GPS-enabled driving directions
- SMS Text and Voice Messaging let users record a voice message and send it to as many as 25 friends at once, without even making a call
- Mobile Sync online tool lets users manage all their contact information online including groups for PTT and text/voice messaging, automatically synchronizing between a phone for easier entry, access and full secure backup
- Use a USB cable or Bluetooth and the phone to connect to a PC, allowing Internet and email access. (USB cable sold separately)

Sprint today announced four new push-to-talk phones, powered by Qualcomm's QChat technology, in over 40 markets. The LG LX400, Samsung Z400 and Sanyo Pro-200 and Pro-700 will be available June 15.
