MM5600 is a new VM4500
Reviewer: cayotic17 on Sun Apr 10, 2005
Ok, I just bought the MM-5600 to replace my VM-4500. First thing I have to say Sprint has indirectly admitted that the 4500 was full of defects. Obviously they have or they wouldnt have released a phone SOO similar to its predecessor. The 5600 feature wise does no more than the 4500 did. There are a few great tweaks but ultimately its the same phone. The two phones have ReadyLink Capability, Video Recorders, Cameras, so forth so on. The 5600 does have a few new tricks, for one you can text while in conversation....sprint people know, that is an accomplishment. the phone's meeting mode feature puts calls instantly on hold until you can step out of a room to talk to the person. you can set recorded movies as ringers for people when they call. There are a couple new treats for customers, but I only hope that the problem with the pin charger going back within the first two months is over and done, because of that one problem I have had to exchange the 4500 4 times in one year. Hopefully this new phone is money well spent, if not YOU ALL WILL KNOW ABOUT IT..thanks 1

All cell phone companies/phones are not what they say....
Reviewer: TiredLies on Sun Jul 24, 2005
After 20 years of watching all the promises that never happened the way the companies promised.
I have tried motorola, cingular, tmobile, and sprint and they all have problems no matter how expensive a handset you buy!!
I still have the older models with the newest firmware and fixes and still they have problems.
I actually use my phone for buisness and personal so I need a good phone not one that just has to be replaced every 6 months to get the features working the way the cell companies promised.
I think the cell companies know most people wont complain about disconnected calls, poor battery performance, excessive charges,
1st minute being charged for. All this just makes them rich and you poorer and frustrated IF you use your phone a lot like me.
Your so right that the 5600 is just a fatter phone that is supposed to work the way the 5500 never did...
ON AND ON IT GOES
Sincerely,
Tired Lies
