For a quality phone that will endure drops onto concrete or other hard surfaces without even getting a ding or affecting it in any way, this is the one!
If you are into having the newest, glitziest, with the most useless features, or have to be the one that is constantly depressed unless you can "one up" those around you, then this is Not the phone for you.
On the other hand ,
If you need an excellent quality phone that can endure above average shocks, dirty enviroment, (like construction sites, etc) even occasional bouts with atmospheric moisture, then look no further.
This Sanyo is the best all around phone I have ever owned.
You have the normal ringtone assignment to individuals, incoming, etc. Lots of room for downloading wallpaper, screensavers, and ringtones to personalize it. The GPS in it rivals the Bling Bling Glitz phones, and even exceeds some of them too. We even used them when we went hunting in the mountains. With the Walki-Talki feature used in conjunction with the bluetooth capability had one of the most successful hunts yet !
Threw that last part in just to show the versatility of this phone.
Out of all of the phones I have owned to date, and there have been quite a few, this one definately has my highest praise.
Almost forgot one other nice feature .
The OEM Battery will last for a lot longer than your average RAZR or other simular thin phne too .
Have literally gone for 4 days between charges with phone constantly on.
And to adress the complaint of the first poster . Have had no problems with being able to hear with this phone with either the earpiece speaker orin speaker-phone mode.
Hope this helps !

I'm just sending back my second 7050. Which is too bad, as it's just the kind of super-functional, sturdy phone I wanted. But the sound quality on both examples was abysmal, like listening to someone talk from under a heavy comforter. Of less concern, but still annoying, are the dire warnings not to put your thumb anywhere near the base of the antenna, making handling just a bit awkward. I'll be curious to see other opinions; I suppose it's always possible I just got two duds.
