Clean design, distinct lines, a full color screen and quality materials make the Sony Ericsson T300 stand out from the rest. And under the surface lies the beauty that makes the T300 best in class. It has the latest mobile messaging - multimedia messaging service (MMS), along with text messaging with pictures and sounds (EMS) and picture messaging. It even has its own e-mail that lets you use your T300 to send and receive e-mail wherever you are... [Continue reading Sony Ericsson T300 Review]

At first glance, this product has everything. The camera comes with it, customizable in many areas (screen saver, ringtone, background, etc), downloadable ringtones, games, themes, pictures. But be aware of the battery consumption of this product. It does not stay all as long as the manufacturers state.
If you use your cellphone quite often and play with it (explore the features, play games, etc) it'll eat the battery even more. You have to charge every night. That did not happen with my old phone (it was a samsung with sprint pcs).
Also the color screen is not as good as Samsung S105. The ringer tone is also too low in volume, though polyphonic tones do sound good. It's so good, you don't realize it's your phone that's ringing. There's no calendar in it but there's events organizer. I don't know how it works without the calendar.
It has a timer and a stopwatch, of which I still don't know why they put it there. It's a nice addition though.
Aside of all those cons above, this phone is a fun phone. You can definitely play with it, and you'll have fun exploring the features. I don't bother with the lack of bluetooth tech, yet. It's still so limited, and if it's available, it's still expensive. Just check out how much the costs of the bluetooth headset for T68i.
The price for this phone is affordable, one of the thing that I like! But if you are looking for a cutting edge cell phone, this might be not the one for you.

I really wanted a color phone! The T300 was boasted polyphonic ring tones and downloadable games. So I preordered the T300 through Amazon, eagerly awaiting its ship date. Straight out the box, pop the GSM SIM card in, battery, battery cover, plug it in and Voila!! Color screen in all its glory. Impressive, but doesn't knock your socks off.. (But better than green and black for sure...)
I won't go through all of the functions that are already covered in the Mobiledia review. However I will go through my experiences with it:
1. Function: Phone is definitely slower than other phones I've had in the past. Access to internet functions in general aren't streamlined, you have to click too many buttons, and there is no true back button without the phone reloading the previous page from the internet. In addition, the phone seems to refuse to save your screen name and password to access your online accounts. I have not been able to access my Yahoo! Mail, nor get the instant messenger for AIM working neither. The 10 dollar chatboard is cute, but barely more efficient than using the keypads on the phone, I joke that the chatboard is a 10 dollar "@" button. Both entry methods are slow and you'll misdial if you enter the number while the phone is in standby mode.
2. Camera is a good point. As are the ringers, the infrared connector is fantastic.
3. Battery life although decent. It’s hardly what Sony Ericsson says it is. I was disappointed in that.
4. Construction; when you drop the phone (and you know you WILL, eventually), you'll likely replace something. Maybe the polished face cover, maybe the battery cover, but the phone definitely looks and feels suited for nursing in a man purse or womans bag. I just went dancing last night with the phone in my pocket and already swirls are on the display and cover.
5. T-Mobile is affiliated with Cingular (yes, weak coverage Cingular) in California and more so Silicon Valley area. I was sorely disappointed to discover this, as my OLD single band Sprint PCS phone is much better than T300 in trick and regular areas.
Granted GSM may be in its infancy, but why wait out a year for clear coverage? I can continue with another carrier for that interval, with clear calls, and switch 12 months from now, with likely better phone to boot (like the P800!). When all is said and done, I'd stay with sprint in a heartbeat, if their latest phones could be had cheaper. (And that's exactly what I did. I've never been happier than now with my Sanyo 4900 through Sprint PCS).
Bottom line: The phone's primary function was worse than what I fled from. I was unhappy with the coverage that the phone and T-mobile currently provided. From a straight business perspective, this was unacceptable. From a techie perspective, the gimmicks added to the phone: color screen, ring tones, camera, infrared connector, potential global roaming for some, will make a compelling argument to stay.
I hope this was useful to someone.

I've had this phone for about 19 months by now and it have worked out pretty fine. Not the best colorscreen in the world but still, as said above, better than blue or black. I've not manage to get the mail function working but it might just be some wrong in my settings (doesn't work on mum'sT610 either). The phone can't handle java games so thats a minus but mophun works fine and I, who like writing my own program even have wrote my own game for it, and it works! The built in games are not the best eigther but their ok. One irritating thing, after what i know all SE phones has, is that you can't remove anything that was put into the phone before you got it (can be solved, search for "remove pre" in SE forum)! Though i must say that the keyboard has become bad after a while and some of the keys almost not work at all. But over all it's a pretty good phone for it's price.

I must admit, this is a really great phone. Since I travel to Europe often I found it was cheaper to purchase this phone oveseas since their prices are usually less than half of the "non contract" price in the US. Plus, it very cost effective to carry around different SIM cards rather than use a World Plan. I got to hand it to the Europeans, they're way ahead of us in cell phone technology and service. No contracts...pay only for outgoing, not incoming calls and per minute fees inexpensive. Now about the phone...It performs great! Does all I need for it's compact size and durable since it's hit the ground a few times - yet keeps on working. Whether I'm in Iceland, Germany or the UK, I always have a clear connection. Wish I could say this back in the states. Depending on what city you live in or travel to, coverage is better than others, yet I think T-Mobile really needs to spend more money on towers and less on advertising. I'm in the Norfolk/Newport News area of Virginia and I'm constantly plagued by missed calls and static.
