The Sony Ericsson T608’s size surprised me when it arrived. It was a tiny phone. I don’t think any phones, that Sprint sells, are this tiny! I didn’t buy the camera attachment yet so I can’t comment on that but the phone worked very well. It had good reception in areas that my Treo 600 had trouble. The screen was not as bright as my Treo 600. I used the T608 for a week as a backup phone (my Treo’s reception got really bad - I thought something was wrong with it). I was disappointed that the T608 was not compatible with Sprint’s picture mail though and the battery life was not that great. I made sure that I had a car charger. It took me a few days to discover how to use the speakerphone function because there’s no visible button for it and I couldn‘t find any information about it in the manual. You have to press the options button to find the menu when you’re on a call. Call quality was good but you can expect the speaker and earpiece to be “little sounding” because this is a small phone. The bluetooth works but I didn’t get to see any data on my computer screen because I’m new to bluetooth stuff. Overall, I like the T608. It’s lightweight, small and it felt really solid in my hand. It’s a handsome little phone. You have to call Sprint Telesales and order one with a credit/debit card for $221 but you must have a Sprint account or you’ll have to get a friend with a Sprint account to buy it for you. The billing address (address on the credit card) must match the person’s address that is on the Sprint account. My accountant tried to buy this phone for me on his credit card but he's not a Sprint customer. This is the catch! You could buy this phone on Ebay but these sellers are going to try to get as much as they can from desperate buyers. I’ve seen T608s for as much as $380. These Sellers say “You can’t get them from the Sprint’s web site”. You can’t! They’ll also say, “Sony Ericsson only made 10,000 of these phones” How do they know this? These sellers just want to pump up the buyers with false facts so they can get buyers to pay up the nose. I did notice, on Ebay, that a few buyers did win reasonable bids on this phone though. Last time I checked, you could still buy them from Sprint telesales.
