I first got a Samsung a737 and it was alright i like it but it just wasn't enough.there were no skins or theme just one and only one.mp# player wasn't loud enough but ovrerall it was alright. But the Sony Ericsson w580i is simply amazing it had only 2 themes but you can go on Sonyericsson.com and download FREE ones. The screen and camera are crystal clear. The ringtones are amazing and the phone is just awesome looking. The lights on the side are awesome! The mp3 player is amazingly loud!and sounds really well. This phone rocks a i recomend it over the Samsung a737.I know from experience

This is my third and most updated review on the Sony. As of now i am not even able to use this phone. The # key which is also the space key for txting does not work. This is my THIRD phone, i replaced it 3 times because of broken/non working keys. This phone is terribly built! It looks really nice and i WILL give it a 10 on music because the speaker is amazing. Great music player! But text messaging is not good at ALL. It is the best t9 ive used though, but the keys are not durable and break easily. at&t will not evn fix the phone becuase ive had it for over a year! now i have to buy a phone on ebay until i can upgrade in august. i do NOT recommend this phone for text messengers! But if your looking for a phone with a nice camera and music player than this is deff for you! Also call quality is very good but after you have the phone for a year the battery life is horrible. It doesnt matter to me anymore because the phone is useless to me now. But go for the new sonyericsson slider that is out.the red one? im not sure what the model name is but chooose that over this phone! i am not a happy sony ericsson customer and do not plan o buying sony ericsson AGAIN!

I'll give it 4/10....an overall rating.

i had the w810i and it was great.amazing pictures good music and everything. it got stolen so the insurance paid for the new phone. well att stopped selling the w810i and started the w580i. for the first 2 months it was a very good phone. then it started to turn off at random times, the buttons were cracking and then eventually breaking and then the middle play button slid out. now the screen is sliding out of place. STAY AWAY FROM THIS MODEL.

This phone is nice but iv'e had it 7 months and i had it replaced once.the two soft keys get really loose and the keypad keys crack even if you gentle with the phone its only a matter of time until they crack.the phone music player is really nice and it comes with headphones and a USB cord which is really nice. i doubt the phone will last till me contract is up but im hoping it does.it has to last me until august 2009 which i plan to get the new iPhone 3G which looks amazing. Oh and the phone battery is amazing at first but now its only lasting two days barely and is i use the music player than hardly one day.so the battery will most likely need replaces soon i really don't recommend this phone ven though its really nice looking but the physical quality is really poor.although the new colors < red pink and green> are really nice i wish i could get those in stead of my ugly black one
