Sony Ericsson Z610i User Reviews

In my opinion, the SE Z610i is a good phone. Nice clamshells that aren't mp3 player focussed are slowly getting hard to find. I've had mine for a good few months and I haven't looked back. I could only think of good things about this phone, although there were a few minor things I didn't like.

Very easy to use, much like every other SE, and a very nice looking body. Quite customizable for those who like to make it "their own" much like myself. Sound quality is quite good as well, for both ringtones and music player. The reception is good for an international phone running at only 1900, and it's pick-up and recovery from dead zones is fast too. Some of the features I really liked were the multiple alarms; very handy for someone who has a lot on their plate (or for those who like to sleep). The "Converter" in the organizer is very useful as well, what with all those lbs/kgs, miles/km, etc. Battery-life lasts a good few days with lots of SMS'ing and talking. Memory is expandable with a stick of M2, and with the USB cable, you can also use the phone as a mass-storage device as well, or with the program that comes in the box.

Most disappointing was the camera. Wasn't as good as I had hoped. The focus on it isn't that great either. Don't even think about capturing any text of some sort, comes out fuzzy. The small camera on the inside of the phone is quite useless unless you plan to do some videocalls. And if your into texting without looking at your keypad, it's quite difficult to find the almost-non-existant dot on the 5 key. The volume buttons on the side are also hide to find. Albeit smooth along the side of the phone, it's hard to tell if you're turning the volume up or down during a conversation. And for those who can't stand scratching your phone, this one isn't for you. The sleek front of the phone may look gorgeous, but it's very high maintenance to keep from scratching it. Even I, who keeps it in a soft pouch and avoids all metal objects, have small scratches that my heart aches at. And lastly, like some phones, both the internal and external screens are hard to see under certain lighting (mainly sunlight), external moreso than internal.

Pros:
Hot looking phone
Easy-to-use
Good reception and sound quality
Multiple alarms
Handy applications (converter)
Expandable memory (USB cable and mass-storage capability)
Bluetooth
Digital Camera

Cons:
Poor quality from camera
Buttons a little too smooth
Screens a bit difficult to see outdoors
Very easy to scratch and deface

Overall:
Very good phone for price it comes with icon_wink.gif
