The T-Mobile MyTouch 3G Slide is an improved version of the original MyTouch 3G, with and upgraded Android 2.1 operating system, new optical touchpad interface, a new 'Genius Button' for voice commands and a higher-resolution 5.0-megapixel camera. The handset features a slide-out QWERTY keyboard with a sharp 3.4-inch touch screen display. The MyTouch Slide features new software additions such as 'Faves Gallery' to allow users to calls, texts, email, instant messaging, social networking updates to up to 20 family and friends. Anytime one of the 'Faves' sends a status update, message or contact, an alert appears in the notification pane. It also comes with 'MyModes' to create different themes for the home screen that can switch based on time or location. And with one press of the 'Genius Button,' powered by Dragon Dictation from Nuance, users can use voice commands to control the phone, such as make calls, compose and send texts and emails, search the Web or the surroundings. It can even read text messages aloud.
