Pros:
-quick for text and IM
-a free email only available on these phones
-it has number that is seperate from letter unlike many other phones has the number with the letters
-scrolling ball
-connect to any computer without having to install a disk first
Cons:
-bad camera, flash makes pictures white or green in dark room. Better if you are taking pictures outside
-no video camera or able to play videos
-only take mp3s
-internet is okay but they should change it into a desktop from because it has a scrolling ball.
-price is too high and it doesn't do that much stuff

Wow iv ever owned a sidekick before and i was really surprised with this one. When i first got it i realized that it is so small from the pictures it looks huge and akward but this one is small and light and the track ball is so amazing. But the big thing about this phone is the absoluty amazing keyboard.
Pros:
Slim and small design
Big screen
The BEST menu system ever
trackball is so easy to master and looks so cool
^it lights up to
buttons are smart
easy and fast to open the screen
sexy design
GREAT keyboard
better camera
bluetooth
Cons:
Its only available from T-mobile
screen is pretty low res
still not that great of a camera
opening the phone feels not as smooth as skII but is fast
i liked the rubbery feel of the SKII keyboard
buttons are a little close together
^ they dont light up
still not any ground breaking technology
A great phone with an amazing keyboard just wish it was a bigger improvement over the sidkick II.

Man, that's just ridiculous. What are you talking about that the only difference is in the mp3 and the games? It is better than that! I mean, I'm not a big ol' fan of the thing, but c'mon, give it some credit.
They did upgrade:
-expandable memory. now it can be your mp3 player on the go! how valuable is that?
-the camera is now 1.3 megapixel
-the roller control on the side has been replaced with a little roller-ball. more versatile control, which I can see potential for more functionality, better control of the interface, and better games maybe?
-the design is more sharp-looking and compact
-the battery is now REPLACABLE
-all 3 major IM clients are available
-faster downloads
-not to mention the software updates and improvements
So all in all, it just bothers me to see someone posting Crap about a device just because it's not their
style or something. Don't hate. Congradulate!

1. I think that they should upgrade the web applications in more of a pda form. This phone cannot go in to many websites out there. I would rather get the blackberrys for good use of web and email capabilities
2. You can only buy games, screensavers and ringtones. They cost $2.99 and above. Unlike other phones you can pirate that stuff or find it for cheaper.
3. There is nothing you can really do to this phone to customize it. I hate that girls in class have this phone and we all share the same backrounds and ringtones because we don't want to have to waste our money on epensive applications.
4. This phone is too expensive for what it does not offer. If you are going to pay $299.99 for this phone I would definetly rethink and check out the PDAs.

this phone is def. not worth the money.the store that i bought this from said this is the best yet, and they were wrong.i had the sidekick 2 before this and it was so much better.the only difference was the mp3 player.
pros
-good size
-keypad
-trackball
-mp3
-faster
cons
-camera(not good at all!!)
-battery life is terrible
-way too much money
-service sucks(tmobile has the worst service)
all in all, this is an ok phone.but if u have the sidekick 2, keep it..theres no difference.

The T-mobile Sidekick is an utterly worthless device. I thought nothing surpassed their terrible service and coverage, well this phone proved me wrong. It is not a Windows phone for one thing so your basically paying 2 or $300 for something that can't go online, has no touchscreen, and has awful screen resolution but on the upside it has that snappy keyboard for texting and you can check your emails from it and that is about all it has going for it. I personally can't stand T-mobile or their products, if you want a phone that has everything the Sidekick does not go to AT&T (formerly Cingular) and pick up a 8125 or 8525, I have the 8125 and I could not be happier with it, it is a little on the pricey side but it is well worth it since your paying for what you get, which is a lot, unlike with the Sidekick.

I used to have a sidekick2 but now I have a sidekick 3 and I love it!!!! the main difference is the MP3 player but there are other small diffences too. I may live in a slightly upper middle class neighborhood but every other person I know has a sidekick, so for us it's just an easy way to stay in touch...plus since I don't pay for anything I don't think it's expensivew
