Verizon Wireless PN-215 User Reviews

I got this phone fo my 2 kids. 2 free phones and worth what I paid. icon_redface.gif
The Verizon UI is a limiting factor on all of their phones. Especially My Samsung SCH-A950. but this phone is missing some simple options...

1) No way to turn off the "Power on/off" sounds.
2) No way to stop the screen saver from starting after 5 seconds icon_exclaim.gif
Makes texting a pain. Even if the backlight is set to "always on"
There are no screen saver options except to change the image.

I have been unable to find a usb caable to transfer ringtones using BitPims filesystem. So They will cost me 1.99 using veri$ons vtext.com.

I got what I paid for.

The phone doesnt have lots pf features, it gets damaged easily, It says that it can get pic messaging nut so far I havent been able to send or recieve. you cant download many nice ringtones, the wallpaper is fine.
however the thing that bothers me the most is that you cant use your own sounds as ringtones as in other phoones!
the only good thing about it is that is cheap!

I bought this phone and signed up for new service and did not get what I was promised. icon_ermm.gif I have tried to download ringtones, but alas, Verizon says that the phone is "too new" so they don't offer anything on their website in the line of ringtones. I have also taken it to the store since it started to "roam" in my livingroom for no reason icon_twisted.gif and the tech told me that he was unable to fix it due to the phone being "too new", he does not have the software yet. icon_sad.gif I like the phone, I've just not found the services for it to be what was promised. Guess I'll just have to rethink my next contract.....

This phone seems exactly like the Audiovox CDM-8910 with less design on the faceplate. The camera is not good and the verizon UI is crammed on the phones tiny screen. It makes wallpapers almost impossible to see and navigation harder. The phone even has the UI on the external screen which is grayscale. The phone may have had some potential, but the Verizon UI just makes this phone...wait, ALL phones, seem CHEAP!

Phone is a lump of shite. Verizon has decided that all it's users of these new phones may ONLY get ringtones at an inflated rate. You will not make your own ringtones. You will not get them from other than Veriz authorized dealers. You will not have immagination. You will not be creative.
If you are thinking about this phone, or Verizon for that matter, keep moving. I think Adolph and his boys are running things here.
