Released for Verizon Wireless, the XV6900 leverages Windows Mobile 6 Professional with access to Outlook Mobile for email integration, Office Mobile and the ability to run third-party applications. Consumers can also surf the Web through Internet Explorer Mobile, send and receive emails or chat on popular Messenger services including AIM, MSN and Yahoo!. The XV6900 allows users to view and edit Microsoft Word and Excel files, view Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe Reader LE PDF Viewer and view, extract and create new ZIP files and attachments. The home screen provides one-touch access to email, text messages, calendar appointments and contacts, as well as current weather conditions and forecasts. A full touch screen features integrated TouchFLO technology to smoothly navigate through menus with a finger swipe.

I got my XV6900 today and set it up qickly. It runs essentially the same as a Windows-based Palm Treo, but without a traditional QWERTY keyboard. It DOES have a QWERTY keyboard, but the keys have two letters each (more like a Blackberry Pearl keyboard). It would be better if it did have the traditional QWERTY. It also has a T9 feature that can be disabled, but only during each individual text conversation. Other than that, I love it and think I'm going to have it for a while till the next best thing shows up! Was this review helpful? :: 43 out of 47 people found this review helpful.
