Camera
The Touch Pro2's built-in 3.2-megapixel auto-focus camera is on the high-end
of camera phones -- capturing vivid photos with admirable contrast, shadowing,
color and preciseness. Video recordings, however, aren't as clear, but don't
have the pixilation most camera phones pick up.
Photos can also be adjusted for white balance and brightness, placed
on a self-timer, shot in wide screen, shot in grid format, shot with an
effect (grayscale, sepia or negative), change shutter sounds, adjust saturation,
sharpness or contrast, or time stamp.
Users can change the photo quality to fine, basic, normal or super fine.
Images are captured as JPEGs and have a resolution of up to 2048 x
1216 px. There's also flicker adjustment, a counter and a help section.
Videos can be adjusted for brightness or white balance, filmed with a
time limit or without, captured in MPEG-4, H.263 or H.264 formats and have
a VGA resolution of 640 x 480 px.
Clips can be backlit, recorded with or without audio, with flicker adjustment,
on a counter, or with a sepia, grayscale or negative effect. Options also
include changing a metering mode, adjusting shutter sound and deciding whether
to store the video on the phone or on a memory card.
The video camera picks up sound in any location clearly and, unlike many
other phone camcorders, minimizes background noise or the sound of a hand
moving to capture another direction with the phone.

One major downside to the handset is the lack of editing equipment. Once
a shot is taken, that's pretty much what users are stuck with.
The Touch Pro2 offers good picture and better than usual video quality.
While it's nice to have many options before taking a photo, more post-shot
editing options would have been nice.
Basic Features
The Touch Pro2 has basic features like a calculator and calendar, but
also plenty of business-friendly applications. It can read PDF files with
Adobe Reader LE, read and edit Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word Mobile
documents and use JETCET Presentation to compile a presentation from various
files in the phone.
Users can record Voice Notes, watch videos on Windows Media Player, make
tasks, view pictures and videos in an album or slide show .
The phone also has a file searcher, Handango InHand, a Live Search feature
for Web searches, Internet sharing capabilities, notes, multiple instant
messenger clients and Remote Desktop Mobile, which allows users to connect
to their home or work computer remotely from a distance.
An internal GPS antenna, Google Maps, and TeleNav navigator combine to
help offer directions and maps to reach a destination.
The handset runs on TouchFLO 3D, a user interface that allows users to
drag, swipe and tap the touch screen to flip through photos, scroll fast
or slow through screen items like Web sites, and press on the screen to
select something -- similar to Apple's popular iPhone.
Running Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, the Touch Pro2 is designed for
business use. It shows in the selection of document readers and browser
and messaging systems, as well as the lack entertainment applications.
