HTC Touch Review - Connectivity and Conclusion

Connectivity

HTC Touch Angle 1The Touch supports several Bluetooth profiles for various methods of wireless communication. Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) lets users who purchase compatible headphones to listen to stereo music wirelessly, while Headset Profile (HSP) and and Handsfree Profile (HSP) allow headsets and handsfree devices to sync with the Touch.

Users can also sync the Touch with a PC by using Wireless Backup / ActiveSync. The Touch can also be used as a wireless modem for a laptop, but users will need to sign up for the Sprint Power Vision Modem Plan.

Conclusion

The Touch offers a wealth of features in a small package and the innovative Touch Cube interface allows users to take advantage of the TouchFLO screen. This screen technology gives users quick access to many one-touch features, such as text message and photos.

The Touch's audio quality is not great, but this phone provides a solid smart phone that is perfect for on-the-go professionals to stay organized and in touch. The design of the phone itself is simple and gives users just enough control through minimal buttons to enable them to get through some operations without the touch screen, if they so choose. The smart phone's connectivity to Bluetooth and PCs is another plus.

The Windows software works well with the TouchFLO technology on the phone and for the most part, it was intuitive and easy to navigate. HTC and Sprint clearly put some thought into the whole package with this phone in order to show off the touch screen.

If users are looking for the most beautifully designed touch screen phone, they will still probably lean toward the iPhone rather than the Touch. This is not as sleek or artistically designed a phone as the iPhone, and HTC has not used the touch screen technology as well as Apple. But for users who want a Windows Mobile phone with a touch screen, the Touch still has a lot to offer.
