Screen
Taking up three-quarters of the CF360's face, the 2.0-inch screen --
with 262K-colors and 320 x 240 px resolution -- is the centerpiece of the
handset.

The screen is large by most standards, especially for a device that isn't
a touch screen or a smartphone. The handset smudges easily, especially obvious
on the reflective plastic screen.
The CF360 could benefit from brighter icons and more colorful menus.
Instead, LG opted for basic blue-hued icons with gray, orange and yellow
accents. Colorful videos are the only items that benefit from the basic
black background of this phone. Everything else is bland.
Consumers will like its large screen size, but few will be bowled over
by what it really delivers -- drab color schemes with an unimaginative black
backdrop. Images on the display aren't as bright as top-of-the-line LCDs,
but fair well for the value of the phone.
Audio
The music player allows users to create and manage play lists; listen
to MP3, WMA, AAC and AAC+ tunes; play one song at a time, in sequence, on
shuffle or on repeat; and customize a preset equalizer and visualizer.
Users
can also use other phone functions while playing music so they aren't anchored
to listening to music when they'd like to use other parts of the phone.
Song-related services include AT&T Mobile Music, which offers music services,
communities and applications for sale, streaming digital XM Radio, and MusicID,
which is a music recognition service.
The CF360 doesn't quite deliver with its external duplex speaker but
fortunately supports wired and Bluetooth stereo headsets, and Bluetooth
stereo headset, sold separately.
The handset is a good buy for someone willing to keep buying. A headset
or speakers are the way to go if one wants to utilize the phone's music
features consistently. Although there are more powerful systems out there,
this one has decent performance and various listening device options.
Messaging
Unlike some phones that shortcut users to one phone-specific email account
(all Blackberry phones are noted examples), the CF360 delivers access to
multiple email service providers, including Yahoo, AOL, AIM, Windows Live,
AT&T Yahoo and BellSouth email accounts.
All these options might imply users have to navigate through the browser
to reach their accounts, but there's a spot in the phone's messaging section
users can reserve for their favored account.
Users can also chat on AIM, Windows Live and Yahoo Messenger.
The handset has robust messaging features. Access to email and instant
messenger accounts that already exists is a big bonus and a lot less hassle.
