Entertainment
In addition to music, messaging, internet browsing, and imaging (reviewed
in separate sections), the enV offers plenty of ways to pass the time, including
games and video downloads. Games and videos are available for download for
various fees through Verizon's Get It Now! store and the V-Cast service.
The enV supports BREW games, available for download from Get It Now!,
usually for either a one-time purchase fee or a lesser monthly subscription
fee, though some games may only be offered under one option or the other.
Users can choose from a variety of games, including sports, puzzles, and
classics like Tetris or Pac-Man. However, as with most Verizon phones, none
of these games comes preloaded, even in demo form.
Both video streaming and video downloads are available through V-Cast,
Verizon's television service. Although convenient, V-Cast charges fees for
both streamed and downloaded video, and notes in the manual that vague "additional"
costs may apply. Users should review all video-related costs with their
phone vendor upon purchase.
With both BREW games and video streaming / downloads, the enV offers
stranded, bored users a way to pass the time. However, users may want to
keep an eye on service fees.

The enV features the standard package of application tools, including
a Calculator, Calendar, Alarm Clock, World Clock, Notepad, and EZ Tip Calculator.
Entertainment applications, such as games, are listed under the Entertainment
section of this review. Additional applications are available for purchase
and download from Verizon's Get It Now! store.
The tools are for the most part nothing out of the ordinary, and anyone
who's used an LG phone before will most likely be familiar with them. The
Calendar, Alarm Clock, and World Clock should help users on time for important
appointments. Most worthy of note are the easy-to-use Tip Calculator and
the Notepad, which becomes much more convenient than that of phones past,
thanks to the full keyboard on the enV.
With a standard package of organizational features, the enV should help
keep its users organized. The full keyboard improves features that require
extensive verbal data input, such as Notepad. Should a user need additional
applications, they are available for purchase from Verizon.
