Connectivity
Unfortunately
connectivity options are something the F9200 severely lacks in. Without an
infrared port or Bluetooth wireless technology, users are forced to purchase
a serial data cable accessory to synchronize or transfer data between a
PC and the F9200.
Conclusion
Overall, the F9200 doesn't differ much from its predecessor, the F9100.
Both devices were created with a specific type of consumer in mind; those
unique users who want robust instant messaging features. Where the F9200
improves is the addition of the mediocre VGA camera, allowing consumers
to take photos to attach to multimedia messages.
Catering to such a targeted demographic obviously alienates the majority
of the consumers, so it goes without saying that the F9200 isn't for everyone.
In fact, those who only occasionally text message, chat, and email can probably
find more fitting devices with more advanced multimedia capabilities.
With the lack of connectivity, imaging, and audio options, the F9200
isn't well-rounded. It's highly specialized for those who text message and
chat on a regular basis, who need a full QWERTY keyboard to make their lives
easier.
Ideal for consumers who email and instant message regularly, the F9200's
full keyboard offers relief, while quick access to major email accounts
on AOL, Hotmail and Yahoo!, and instant messaging clients from AOL, ICQ
and Yahoo! offer unbeatable communication. For what it does well, the F9200
is one of the best on the market.
