Perhaps where most of the feature of the VX6000 lie. The Settings Menu allows you to access and change all the features of the phone.

The Sounds and Displays is where you can select how the VX6000 sounds and looks. Ring tones are CMX MIDI format and wallpapers for the phone are 120 x 160 pixels. In addition you can customize the look of the menu structure by changing font sizes, selecting one of five color schemes, or viewing menus in either icon or list menu style.

To get more wallpaper or ring tones, Verizon has BREW platform technology. BREW allows users to use the Get It Now feature to download content at up to 230.4 kpbs. Most applications are subscription based and run on average anywhere between $3-5. The BREW platform also functions as a gaming client. BREW games can also be purchased and downloaded. What BREW brings is the convenience of getting applications without having to navigate through WAP at the expensive of a view extra dollars. Depending if you're inexperienced or an expert, BREW could make your life easier or be a pain.

The VX6000 has the ability to function as a modem also. Connect a laptop to it and use the phone to send faxes or connect you to the internet. A LG1200 data cable and Verizon Dialer software is required for the connection.

Voice Services has many great features too. The VX6000 has voice dialing. Just record the voice dial command and save it. Train Words lets the phone learn how you talk. So it knows when you're issuing a voice command and when you're just talking. The Answering Machine saves your message when you're not around. But a great feature is you can listen in on the person while the phone is recording, just like a real answering machine. That way you can screen your calls before you pick up.
