Connectivity
The
VX8600 is enabled for Bluetooth (v1.1) wireless technology and can incorporate
up to 20 devices that are connected one at a time.
Headset (HSP) or hands-free (HFP) profiles can be used to enable those
devices for use within a 10-meter or 30-feet distance from the phone.
Compatibility is also possible with Bluetooth devices that support dial-up
networking (DUN) for a wireless Internet connection, serial port (SPP),
object-push profile (OPP) for virtual business cards, file transfer protocol
(FTP), audio/video remote control (AVRCP) and advanced audio distribution
profile (A2DP) for transferring MP3 music to a Bluetooth headset or car
radio.
Conclusion
Style-wise, the VX8600's inspiring and elegant design will be the right
match for those who really understand cell phone chic.
But the VX8600 is more than just looks; this is one of Verizon's better
handsets, offering excellent call quality and a solid foundation of features
and subscription services for the mobile-information savvy.
However, consumers should note that Verizon doesn't provide all the accessories
needed out of the box for consumers to use all of the VX8600's features
(namely its music playing features) right away. Expect to make at least
a few accessory purchases if the VX8600 is to live up to its potential.
