Connectivity
With
the included USB-cable, users can transfer between a PC and the Motorola
V635. Additionally, the V635 can pair and synchronize with other Bluetooth
devices within a 10 meter radius. Although restrictive, this prevents interference
between the V635's peripheral devices and those belonging to others nearby.
Aside from including PAN (Personal Area Network) and OTA (Over-The-Air)
technologies, the V635 also features SyncML. As the common language for
synchronizing devices and applications over any network, SyncML allows any
personal information, such as email, calendars, to-do lists, and contact
information, to be accessible and up-to-date no matter where the information
is stored.
Conclusion
Keeping a similar shape and design as the V600, Motorola hopes to keep
the golden touch with the release of the V635. Including an expandable memory
slot, the added flexibility releases the V635's full potential; allowing
consumers to utilize the powerful 1.23-megapixel camera and MP3 player.
As a formidable business device, the quad-band GSM frequencies allow
weary travelers to take it with them worldwide. Taking advantage of EDGE
connectivity, transferring files at broadband-like speeds makes working
away from the office possible.
Diminishing its connectivity and multimedia forte, the transfer rate
through the USB-cable are slow while the included stereo headset is mediocre
at best.
But the Motorola V635 is hard to criticize. With a vividly bright LCD,
sufficiently loud speakerphone, and excellent keypad layout, the V635 is
truly a well-rounded phone; with strengths in imaging, audio, connectivity,
messaging, and design.
