The GU87 comes with a Panasonic browser as opposed to the more common Openwave browser. This browser allows you to change the color of the pages, font sizes, and background colors. Aside from that it's pretty much like your standard WAP browser.

One of the major feature of the phone is its built-in digital camera. The GU87 has a pixel resolution of 132 x 176. The lens of the camera is located on the front of the folder.

The camera has many features you wouldn't normally find on other camera phones. For instance, there are several lighting conditions you can choose from. Twilight mode is for low light pictures, close up mode is for detailed shots, effects for changing colors, and frames for adding fun borders to your pictures.

The pictures can be saved in either JPG or PNG formats. With JPG you can choose either fine, normal, or economy modes. The resolution is fixed, and file sizes are approximately 5 kb. That means you can store over 100 images!

Some other features of the camera are the zoom function, and the self timer. With the GU87 you zoom up to 2 times. This is quite useful when you need to get a closer shot since there is no image quality loss.

Overall the GU87 camera is incredibly versatile. This camera has some of the most functions we've ever seen. It's fun to play with and take pictures. Take pictures of your friends and add fun frames around them. Then attach it to their phone number, so when they call the picture pops up. However due to the fixed resolution of 132 x 176, the quality is far from viewable out of the phone. If we had a complaint about the camera that would probably be it. Aside from the limited image resolution everything else was incredible.
