Camera
Activating the A900's rotating lens with the push of a button, the 1.3-megapixel
camera can capture images up to 1280 x 960 px in resolution; lower sizes
include 800 x 600 px, 640 x 480 px, and 320 x 240 px. Additionally users
can choose between Image Quality (Fine, Normal, and Economy) options.
Almost standard in camera phone technology now, 1.3-megapixel cameras
allow shutterbugs to leave the standalone digital camera at home, capturing
photos high-enough in quality to make decent prints.
Supplied with essential features such as Flash (Off, On This Shot, Always
On) and Self-Timer (Off, 5 sec, and 10 sec), image correction tools including
Color Tones (Auto, Monochrome, Sepia, Green, Aqua, Antique, Cool, and Warm),
Brightness (-5 to +5), and White Balance (Auto, Sunny, Cloudy, Tungsten,
Fluorescent, and Manual), and even a Wide Screen (and Full Screen) option,
A900 users have an abundant array of controls to adjust range, exposure,
and tonal qualities for great photos in less than favorable conditions.

Containing 10 preinstalled frames, users can add a bit of lighthearted
fun by choosing scenic borders to surround snapshots with. Entertaining
frames include Beans, Screen, Stars, Stones, Fish, Night, Pet, Click, Birthday,
and Mirror.
The same lens can used to record live video as well. Encoded in 3GP2
codec (MPEG-4 and H.263 Video, and AMR Audio) format, video clips can be
recorded at 15 frames per second. Allowing users to use filters, Movie Light,
Self-Timer, Color Tones, Brightness, White Balance, Quality Settings, and
Wide Screen features can be applied to the Camcorder as well.
As with all camera phones, photographs come out much better than videos.
With motion capture behind still photography, consumers shouldn't expect
more than low resolution grainy videos.
But photo resolution is excellent. And even better, to print phones conveniently,
the A900 includes PictBridge software. As an industry standard, PictBridge
makes transferring photos from the A900 to a printer simple, all without
a PC or image-editing software. With numerous PictBridge-compatible devices
made by many different manufacturers, finding a printer to offload pictures
is a breeze.
