Storage
The
T609 comes with plenty of storage space, providing 25.0 MB, dynamically
shared among all stored multimedia. Integrating a microSD / TransFlash expansion
slot, the T609 is also capable of accepting removable memory cards to load
videos, music, and photos to and from a PC.
Connectivity
The T609 can connect to Bluetooth-compatible accessories within a 10
meter (30 feet) radius. Supporting a wide range of profiles, users can pair
headsets and car kits for handsfree conversation and adapters for file transfer.
Conclusion
Priced as a mid-level device, the T609 integrates many features found
on high-end devices such as a 1.3-megapixel camera, music player, and EV-DO
high-speed access. However, it also lacks many capabilities as well.
Although the T609 includes a music player, the non-standard headset jack
and simplified function cripples its usability. Through the handsfree headset
meant for conversations, consumers can only listen to music through one
earpiece. And while EV-DO offers fast transfer rates over GPRS, T-Mobile
is one of the only carriers yet to roll out video streaming services, something
other customers have been taking advantage of.
Regardless, consumers will be pleased with the white design and rounded
curves. As one of the more elegant devices at a mid-level price point, the
T609 ensures consumers don't have to compromise on style. Preinstalled
games give players plenty of options to pass the time, while voice recognition
technology, mobile chat, and T-Zones services provide users a well-rounded
application package.
For consumers not wishing to spend an arm and a leg for a device soon to
be outdated within months, the T609 is a great value, offering decent options
at an affordable price.
