Battery
A
720 mAh Li-Polymer slim battery is used with the SGH-V205. Samsung claims
the battery will work for 4 hours of talk time and 100 hours of standby,
however those numbers are maximum times. Realistically the times are much
lower.
Minimum Rated Standby Time: 85 hours
Minimum Rated Talk Time: 180 minutes
Many variables, including carrier signal strength at your location, signal
consistency (including incoming and outgoing calls), display and ringer
settings, and battery charging methods and history, will affect performance.
When handset manufacturers and mobile phone carriers list talk-time and
standby-time ratings, they usually include disclaimers about variable performance
and often refer to the times they publish as maximum times.
Connections
The SGH-V205 comes with an infrared port. However we should note the limited
capabilities. the SGH-V205 does not have synchronization capabilities with Outlook
or Lotus Notes. If you need this feature, then look elsewhere. Other limitations
include inability to send pictures to and from the computer to the phone.

Text messaging should be easy on your eyes with the Samsung SGH-V205. Its
extra bright and large screen can display several lines of text on the screen
at once.
This menu is pretty straightforward. One nice thing is it has T9! So
if you send messages a lot, this might be the phone for you. When using
the SGH-V205, each letter you press automatically compares your keystrokes with
an internal linguistic dictionary to determine the correct word. The result,
more word for less thumb.
The SGH-V205 also has the ability to send EMS messages. You can attach pictures,
ring tones, and screensavers. As well as formatting text using templates.
