With Sprint's Power Vision Network, users can access Sprint TV for movie previews and content from sources including ABC News Now, Bloomberg, Fox News Channel, Discovery and the Learning Channel.

Viewers can also check out Sprint's PowerView service for more downloadable TV clips. Other perks include Sirius Radio, Sprint Movies (for full-length, pay-per-view movies that play on the phone) and Sprint's On Demand service for news: headlines, sports scores and local weather forecasts.

Via the Sprint Music Store, users can simultaneously download to both a personal computer and wirelessly to a phone in one move. The UpStage package comes with music managing software plus a USB cable to transfer media files from a PC to the phone.

For gaming types, the UpStage comes with demo versions of Midnight Bowling, Nightclub Empire, Pac-Man, Tetris, and World Series of Poker. Full versions are available for purchase.

Samsung UpStage Back AngleScreen savers, clock styles, sounds and dialing font styles are just a few of the options that can be personalized on the UpStage. Additional display accoutrements can be downloaded from the WAP 2.0 wireless Web browser.

Internet

EV-DO (Evolution-Data Optimized) technology gives the UpStage high-speed data connectivity for downloading media content from Sprint services straight to the phone.

Wireless access to the Web puts customers in touch with email, instant messaging, chatrooms and news headlines. The phone can also be used as a modem to connect a laptop or desktop computer to the Internet via the Sprint National Network.

Storage

The UpStage carries 70 MB of internal shared memory and comes with a 64 MB microSD card for its external card slot. For users who with a larger appetite, the UpStage can accommodate memory cards up to 2 GB, which is ample storage space for a music phone.

Its standard sized phone book can store 500 entries, each entry with an option to add up to five phone numbers, email and Web addresses, notes and nicknames. For added personalization, users can add photo ID, custom ringtones and designation as "Family," "Friend," "Colleague" or "VIPs." The UpStage can store 98 one-touch speed dial entries, plus one preprogrammed entry for voicemail.
