Connections
Siemens
put everything into the S55. Bluetooth, infrared, and XTNDConnect PC. If
you can't connect to your computer through the S55 then you won't be able
to connect with any phone. Whether you want to attach accessories to the S55
or just synchronize your email, the S55 excels at compatibility.
XTNDConnect PC is a tool that lets you synchronize your calendar, contacts,
email, etc with either Outlook or Lotus Notes. Great if you like to take
you work on the road with you.

The Siemens S55 allows you to store up to 500 entries depending on available
dynamic memory. Entries from the Phonebook are managed separately from the
Addressbook. However you can exchange data between them easily.

The Addressbook goes hand in hand with the Phonebook. With all the information
you can store about your contacts, you won't need to carry along that PDA.
Most phones don't let you store an address, but the S55 has it and then
some. You can even put pictures to your contacts.
Another great feature is groups. Organizing your contacts in groups allows
you to split them up into manageable chunks. It makes things easier to keep
track of. Additionally, you can also assign group specific ring tones.
Voice dialing is also available on the Siemens S55. Add up to 20 voice
tags to different phone numbers. The S55 doesn't have great voice recognition
though. When we tested it you have to enunciate clearly, almost to the point
of being tedious. As for using it with a headset, you might want to just
start dialing.
