Much of the multimedia and connectivity is in the Setup Menu. The Siemens S55 uses 101 x 80 pixel backgrounds and screensavers. While it's not bad, the resolution is quite low compared to the newer 128 x 128 pixel Nokias. The Sony Ericsson T68i uses the same picture size, however that was released 6 months ago.

The 16 instrument polyphonic ring tones are also decent. It's not as realistic as the high end Samsung 40+ instrument polyphonic ring tones, but then again its not monophonic either.

One thing that is strong about the Siemens S55 is the ability to connect to virtually everything. Bluetooth, IrDA, GPRS, etc., this phone has it all. If you want to sync your calendar or contacts, you'll be able to do it with ease.
