Sony Ericsson P910 Review - Connectivity / Conclusion

Connectivity

Sony Ericsson P910 SyncMultimedia can be downloaded through Bluetooth, infrared, or data cable. While, photos and video taken with the P910 can be transferred to a PC by those same means.

The Sony Ericsson P910 can connect to peripheral devices at a range of up to 10 meters using Bluetooth technology. Link without cables to headsets, car handsfree equipment, computers, PDAs, digital cameras, and more. The P910 identifies and maintains devices simultaneously to make sure everything you need is there.

For fast synchronization, the P910 supports all the latest PAN (Personal Area Network) and OTA (Over-The-Air) technologies for synchronization. For synchronizing between the P910 and a PC, the phone is also SyncML compatible.

SyncML is the common language for synchronizing all devices and applications over any network. With SyncML any personal information, such as email, calendars, to-do lists, contact information and other relevant data, will be consistent, accessible and up to date, no matter where the information is stored.

Conclusion

The P910 is similar to its predecessor, the P900. However, with many improvements in display, features, applications, and interface, the P910 will surely still appeal to high-end consumers.

With the Sony Ericsson P910, productivity becomes much more efficient. With multiple methods of text entry, the vibrant 208 x 320 px TFT touch screen and detachable QWERTY flip pad are useful with the Symbian OS, a platform with robust productive applications and office tools.

With the minimal number of simultaneous ring tones chords, the P910 falls behind the market. However, not a problem. With the support of MP3 ring tones, polyphonic ring tones become a thing of the past.

The built-in camera is wonderful for capture images and videos at impromptu moments. While the entertainment and games are exciting: particularly V-Rally.

Although specifics aren't known right now, the P910 is expected to be released some time in Q4 2004 at a hefty price tag of about $700.
