Battery
Because it is a color screen mobile phone, battery life is a very important
concern that could make a phone dependable or rend it useless in emergency
situations. Like the T68i, the T300 does not suffer in this department.
Sony Ericsson quotes that the BST-22 Lithium Polymer battery has a standby
time of 300 hours and a talk time of 7 hours and 30 minutes.
Many variables, including carrier signal strength at your location, signal
consistency (including incoming and outgoing calls), display and ringer
settings, and battery charging methods and history, will affect performance.
When handset manufacturers and mobile phone carriers list talk-time and
standby-time ratings, they usually include disclaimers about variable performance
and often refer to the times they publish as maximum times.
One slight design flaw that the battery rattles within the casing because
the thin battery does not clip into the back of the keypad. The rear part
and the battery are two independent elements, similar to construction in
the T200. As a consequence, when the rear casing is removed from the phone,
the battery also comes away and the device powers off. This is not a huge
issue since the rattling is extremely faint, but is still less than perfect.
Although
the phone charger isn't too bulky, it is not as compact as the one that comes
with the T68i.
Connections
On the bottom of the phone there are all of the T300 connectors. Charging
your phone, transferring files through data cable connections, and the optional
CommuniCam MCA-25 camera accessory are connected here.
The CommuniCam MCA-25 is the latest snap-on camera from Sony Ericsson,
designed with the T300 in mind, and features digital zoom. On the top right
is the connection for headset.

The Phone Book Menu allows you to store 510 entries in the T300! And
that's without the SIM card phone book. Aside for the large capacity, the
versatility of the T300 lets you assign individual 93 x 62 px pictures,
unique ring tones, and voice commands to the contacts. When your contact
calls, their picture shows up on the phone.
You can also combine contacts together and add ring tones, and personalized
settings to the group. You may also add, edit, delete, search on the SIM
and link a picture to each contact. Overall we were very pleased with the
customizability and functions Ericsson has come to be known for. The only
drawback we encountered was the lack of an address book. An address book
would eliminate the need to bring along a PDA.
