Sony Ericsson T310 Review - Battery / Connections / Phone Book

Battery

The T310 comes with a 700 mAh Li-Polymer battery. Sony Ericsson quotes that the battery has a standby time of 350 hours and a talk time of 7 hours and 30 minutes.

Many variables, including carrier signal strength at your location, signal consistency (including incoming and outgoing calls), display and ringer settings, and battery charging methods and history, will affect performance.

Connections

On the bottom of the phone there are all of the T310 connectors. Charging your phone, transferring files through data cable connections, and the optional MCA-25 CommuniCam camera accessory are connected here. On the side is the infrared connection for transferring pictures, ring tones, themes, and more from a PC to your phone.

The Phone Book Menu allows you to store 250 entries in the T310. Aside for the capacity, the versatility of the T310 lets you assign individual 93 x 62 px pictures, and unique ring tones to the contacts. When your contact calls, their picture shows up on the phone.

You can also combine contacts together and add ring tones, and personalized settings to the group. You may also add, edit, delete, search on the SIM and link a picture to each contact. Overall we were very pleased with the customizability and functions Ericsson has come to be known for. The only drawback we encountered was the lack of an address book. An address book would eliminate the need to bring along a PDA.
