Pros
·
Superb value. Sony Ericsson's meaning of "lower-end" entails color
screen, MMS, etc.
· 32 instrument polyphonic ring tones. Even better sounding than the
T300.
· Very simple design, yet clean lines and modern appearance.
· Long battery life. Talk for hours. Go days without recharging.
· MMS. Send pictures, animations, and sounds with your text messages.
· Great for text messaging fiends.
· Incredible customizability. Choose the looking of your T310. Change
everything from themes, backgrounds, ring tones, games, contact pictures,
and more.
· Tony Hawk Pro Skater 4. Just the game alone is worth taking a look!
Unlike anything other game seen on a cellular phone.
Cons
· Screen colors and resolution are a bit outdated. In a time where 65,000
color screens, the 256 color 101 x 80 pixel screen is 6 months behind schedule.
· Not a fully functional organizer A bit watered down.
Conclusion
The T310 improves on an already stable T300. Personally I thought the
T300 looked like a block of soap, so anything would have been an improvement.
I wasn't expecting much looking at the T300, but the T310 is anything but
chunky. It's clean lines and simplicity give the T310 a vastly improved
look.
As for the inside, much of the T310 is the same as the T300 with a couple
small additions. Most notably, the 32 instrument polyphonic ring tones.
Aside from that nothing much has changed. The same drawbacks in the T300
are once again in the T310. From the watered down organizer, to the same
256 color screen. The T310 has a slightly better screen than the T300, but
the number of colors and resolution are still the same. When many manufacturers
are pressing to 65,000 colors, releasing a 256 color phone makes you wonder
why even make it color. Understandably the T310 is targeted at the lower-income
young adult market, however even Nokia's entry level phones have 4096 colors.
Don't get me wrong, the T310 isn't a BAD phone, it just has its flaws. Just
like any other cellular phone.

The pros on the other hand are Sony Ericsson's unrivaled customizability.
If you've ever had a T68i or T300 you can understand how fun themes are.
Create your color schemes, add backgrounds, ring tones, screen savers, etc.
The combinations are endless. You won't find that kind of versatility from
Nokia or Samsung.
MMS is another plus. On an entry level phone, you can't really expect
much. But the T310 gives you applications and features most manufacturers
leave out.
Throughout this review we've gone through the good and bad points on
this phone. In terms of what you get for your money, the T310 is on the
top of the list. However, we don't take price into consideration when determining
our ratings, since prices change and vary so drastically. Overall the T310
gets a rating of:
