The T610 has the ability to send and receive messages through EMS, SMS,
MMS, email, and chat. The email client supports both POP3, and IMAP4. However
it doesn't have the capability to send through SMTP which may be a problem
for some.
All functionality of text messaging are standard. You can create and
customize templates for messages that are used a lot. The T610 has enough
memory for around 100 text messages, however the SIM card can be used to
store as well.
The MMS features are called Picture Messaging on the T610. There is a
limit of 1 picture per message when sending from the T610. Believe it or
not, the T610 actually has less functionality in MMS than its predecessor
the T68i. As to why, I have no idea. Perhaps to simplify the process. It's
so easy now you can practically create them with your eyes closed.
