Camera
The W760a produces sharp, true color photos and videos with a higher
resolution than many other camera phones can muster, thanks to its 3.2-megapixel
camera hidden between the two sliding parts of the phone. Unlike many handsets
that have a one-touch button to activate the camera, the W760a requires
users to go to the Menu, then Tools & Apps, then select Camera. It is unfortunate
that the process to access this high quality camera is a bit cumbersome,
but the Walkman Media Player seems to be the design focus of the W760a.
The W760a has a couple of shortcomings, in that it lacks a self-portrait
mirror and a flash, which would have been a nice accompaniment to such a
great camera. Users can easily scroll between photos and video by using
the call and end keys, and to start and stop video recording, they can simply
press the center navigation key. Graphics at the top of the camera mode
screen show clearly whether it is set to video or photo.
Options for different camera settings include zoom (available only in
VGA mode), brightness, self-timer and night mode. There is even a panorama
tool to take three photos and merge them into one, as well as the more typical
tools in PhotoDJ to adjust brightness and contrast, color balance and add
effects such as black and white or a sepia tone.
Photo fix is also available if users want a simple, one-step procedure
to improve pictures. With the auto-rotate feature on the W760a, photos appear
as they were originally taken - either portrait or landscape layout. The
phone also stores photos in an intuitive timeline view.

The W760a supports QCIF size video recording and eliminates the step
of transferring photos to a computer, because users can print photos from
the phone by connecting a USB cable directly to the printer.
Basic Features
Features on the W760a include speakerphone voice dialing and voice commands,
a calendar, an alarm clock, call waiting, caller identification, a personal
organizer, an address book and call forwarding. It also has the more unique
password saver application, which allows users to save security codes, such
as for a credit card.
The W760a has a GPS receiver that allows it to calculate the user's location
using satellite signals, which users can get to by selecting Menu, then
AT&T GPS, then Status. With a subscription to AT&T Navigator, phone users
can map locations and access directions. The W760a has a sound recorder
with which users could make voice memos, among other things, and the Music
DJ application allows people to compose and edit melodies to use as ringtones.
When the phone is in flight mode, users can still listen to their music
with the network and radio transceivers turned off. Flight mode can be activated
through the Menu.
The W760a uses a 930 mAh Li-Ion battery, rated for up to 400 hours of
standby and 9 hours of talk time.
