Excellent phone
Reviewer: aeternavi on Fri Feb 22, 2008
Pros: View text with phone closed is back, better reception than VX8300 despite internal antenna, camera delay *almost* gone
Cons: Clamshell edges hurt your ear, no flash, LG changed charge/data port yet again, speaker located on the back
I got this phone as a replacement to my much loved VX8300 that suffered a broken screen. Much like the 8300, this phone lacks a flash, but picture quality is looking better. I was dissapointed to learn that yet again, LG changed the data/charge port which meant that I had to get another data cable, and I have to get another car charger. Using it for the first time I noticed that the non rounded edges made opening the phone difficult, as well as being uncomfortable on the ear. It is a very solid phone despite looking and feeling a little cheaper than the 8300. Going from the VX8100 to the VX8300, LG dropped the ability to view texts with the phone closed. a HUGE convenience, luckily enough, it was brought back with the VX8350.
Sound quality is great and loud, but the stereo speakerphone suffers with them on the back. I am used to holding the phone cupped in the palm of my hand while using speaker, but the new design causes the phone to emit feedback. The Verizon GUI lost all but 1 alternate color scheme.
Despite the negatives (I am always quick to point them out), I highly recommend this phone.

I cannot wait to return this phone
Reviewer: contraption22 on Mon Dec 24, 2007
I don't have much good to say about this phone.
Pros: It's small.
Cons:
Reception is poor compared to my previous E815 Motorola. Areas that were never a problem with my old phone were problematic for this phone, despite few or full bars on display. Text messages and would show up 2-24 hours after they were sent. Calls to my phone were directed straight to voicemail. Verizon tech support confirmed it was not a problem with the network, problems were most likely with my handset.
Speakerphone feedsback. loud squeeling!
Very difficult to use with one hand.
Scratches easily.
Side buttons innaccessable with leather cover on.
Avoid this phone.
