Motorola Red Dead Battery Razr

Well once again this razr lives up to expectation of the others. terriable battery life. its about 3 hours of talk time. which to me is WAY too short. oviously the phone isnt made to last long. otherwise it would be longer. but i show this phone to people often cause its a popular phone. but when i tell them about the 3 hour battery life they want to look at the other phones. yes its got an MP3 player, but the battry life isnt long enough to make it that big a deal. personally i never recommend this phone to anyone. And lately its had a HUGE problem with defective parts. the battery and th memory card slot seem to be the biggest issues. they either last a few hours before needing to eb charged. or teh card doesnt fit so the phone is useless. if you really have your heart set on a slim phone, go with a krazr, or a katana. they have better battery life, adn the katana is more inexpensive

Motorola V3m - The Red Razr

OK, fine, I'm not the first. After all, this is the exact same phone as the V3 but red. Luckily, it is just as good as the V3 but with the added satisfaction that I am actually helping someone in Africa (albeit in a small way) and sticking it to Sprint and Motorola (albeit in a small way) by having them donate money to sick Africans who will never contribute to their bottom line!
Reception is immaculate, which is important for someone such as myself who lives encased in many feet of concrete. Sound quality is high; I have yet to misunderstand the person calling me and the ringer is very loud when it needs to be. The vibrating mechanism is pretty light, but it could be considered be sheer genius that this slim phone even has this feature in the first place. The LCD is bright and readable, however the menus might take some time to decipher. I recommend setting them the 'list' rather than 'icon' to begin with. I suppose my biggest problem with the phone are the shiny metallic buttons and the LCD screens which need constant cleaning if one wants the phone to look nice. And trust me, this phone will get some reactions from its sleekness. It looks cool and is well advertised, so everybody knows it is a Razr when it gets pulled out. My wife's biggest problem with the phone is the sensitive side buttons, which she accidentally presses every time she pulls it out. However these buttons are worth it, being they control the most used functions on the phone when it is open (camera and volume control) and allow the phone to remain shut when a headset or bluetooth is plugged in.
Accessories are cheap and easy to come by on E-bay, where I was able to procure an extra charger, a car charger, a holster, a phone-to-computer USB connection cable, a CD full of ringtones and buttontones, a 1 GB microSD card, and an extra battery all for about $25 after shipping costs. The phone comes with a wired headset which as far as functionality goes gets an A, but as far as aesthetics gets a D. Overnight on the charger will last you the whole day if the phone gets treated like a phone. However I do not understand who could treat this thing merely as a phone: The camera, while only 1.3 megapixels, takes decent pictures provided there is adequate light. The Sprint Music Store mp3 player is easy to navigate and is well worth the sale price of the phone, provided you have a 1 GB external memory card to hold music with (the 30 MB on the phone is beyond inadequate) and provided you buy the phone when it is on sale.
I highly recommend this phone, especially those who have had cellphones before. B+
